This is WEEKLY electronic bulletin on WATSAN produced by Water and Sanitation Resource Center Network Nepal (WATSAN - RCNN).
The handbook (in Nepali version) was published by WASH-RCNN in December 2007 to assist community facilitators in adopting CLTS approach as an effective approach for sanitation promotion in Nepal.
This handbook (in Nepali version) has been found to be quite useful and popular in communities.
The translated version (in English) has been produced in 2009 to share with our English readers. This booklet is purely based on experiences of adopting the approach in the Nepali context. Minor changes have been made to make it contextual.
Due thanks goes to NEWAH Knowledge Management and Advocacy team for making this publication (English version) possible.
To address the problem of tube well spare part problems in NEWAH supported programmes in the Tarai, several information sharing workshops were organised in Siraha and Dhanusha district with the objective of introducing linkage between the users and the local suppliers in these districts. Posters and leaflets providing information about importance of tube well maintenance and availability of spare parts in the districts were developed in August 2005 after pre testing it among the users and stakeholders and have been disseminated. The posters have been produced in local language to make them user friendly.http://www.newah.org.np/our%20publications.htm
